Government’s Back-to-School Grooming

by Martina Moyski • ChurchMilitant.com • August 28, 2021

As parents are revving up for the school year, the government is spoon-feeding LGBT propaganda to children. Church Militant's Martina Moyski unpacks the "Back-to-School" video luring schoolchildren into the LGBT web.

Suzanne Goldberg, acting assistant secretary for the Department of Education: "I join my colleagues in wishing you all the best for an enriching and fulfilling school year!"

Framed as a benign welcome-back message, the video is anything but. Three government officials smile while they normalize a dangerous — and immoral — LGBT lifestyle for K–12 schoolchildren.

Assistant attorney general Kristen Clarke: "We know that many school administrators ... are doing their best to make schools ... welcoming places for all students. ... We also know that's not the reality for all transgender students, including ... some of you."

The Biden-appointed secretary of Health and Human Services, Rachel Levine (a biological man posing as a woman), directed students to learn more about how to be like him and how to report anyone who doesn't approve.

Dr. Rachel Levine: "I want you to know I have your back too."

Appropriating the tone of a concerned parent, one official, a self-avowed lesbian, reassured students of the State's unwavering support.

Goldberg: "But we also want you to know that the Department of Education and the entire federal government stand behind you. Your rights at school matter. You matter."

Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse of the pro-family Ruth Institute says the State wants every child to see it as protector, not the "people who gave them life, their parents." More parents are opening their eyes to the dangers behind the smiles and virtue signaling of school officials, turning to homeschooling and protecting children from a sinful and unhappy life.

The LGBT movement presents itself as weak and oppressed, but it wields enormous political power, remaking laws and education. Case in point, the Arcus Foundation, a pro-gay nonprofit, was founded by homosexual billionaire Jon Stryker.

US Government Sends a Not-So-Friendly Back-to-School Message

This article was originally published in the National Catholic Register.

The U.S. Department of Justice recently released a special “Back to School” message on its YouTube channel. Why, you may ask, is the Department of Justice, the top law enforcement establishment in the most powerful country in the world, producing a back-to-school message?

They are welcoming the “transgender students.” Superficially, it looks warm and friendly. But beneath the surface lies a masterpiece of sexual-revolutionary propaganda: This is the Sexual State at work.

It begins harmlessly. Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Suzanne Goldberg smiles into the camera and assures us that lots of kids have anxieties about a new school year. After establishing this rapport with the viewer, she continues, “If you are transgender, perhaps you’re worried about simply being accepted and safe and treated with respect as you head into the new school year.” As if this is an obvious issue in schools festooned with “Safe Space” stickers and trans-supportive signage.

Likewise, Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke for the Civil Rights Division starts off nicely enough, acknowledging that “many schools are doing their best to make schools safe and welcoming places for all students, including LGBTQI students.” But then the tone darkens. That is not the case for everyone, she intones, “including, perhaps you.”

With this phrase, this high-ranking official of the federal government is making an alliance with the student: “In some places, people are putting up obstacles, to keep you from playing on the sports field, accessing the bathroom and receiving the supportive and life-saving care you may need.” In other words, “all those terrible people who oppose our agenda are threatening your health and well-being.”

Then the hammer drops: “We’re here to say that is wrong. It is against the law.” In other words, the Department of Education and the entire federal government stand behind you. The video tells students where they can file a complaint.

Some students who adopt a transgender identity are on the autism spectrum. Many adolescents feel out of place and socially awkward. When they “come out” as trans, they suddenly have friends and support. Now, they learn that the federal government “has their back.”

Many public and private schools have GSAs, defined originally as “Gay Straight Alliance,” but more recently defined as “Gender and Sexuality Alliances.” In many schools, these clubs have more posters and promotions on the school grounds than any other club.

Who exactly, then, is likely to file a complaint?

Perhaps a child in a state that is trying to resist the trans-juggernaut by passing laws allocating bathroom use and athletic participation according to the sex of the body. The self-identified trans kid who makes a complaint can become the focus of a test case. Maybe some rural schools somewhere are still “holding out” against the gender ideology. The federal government can step in and get the school district in line with a lawsuit or even the threat of a lawsuit.

The schools are often more supportive of the child’s desires than their parents. The schools assist the child in obtaining medical interventions designed to change or disguise the sex of the body. Parents already fear losing a child to child protective services over these issues. The child filing a complaint to the federal government can bully the parents into submission.

Speaking of bullying, Dr. Rachel Levine, Department of Health and Human Services assistant secretary for health, had a lot to say about bullying in this video. Levine assumed the persona of a woman, even though he still remains a biological man. I wonder if he is equally concerned with all forms of bullying. Kids on the autism spectrum get bullied over their social awkwardness and other symptoms. That is why they sometimes feel better temporarily when they decide to label themselves “trans”: The kids at school fawn over them.

How about the kids who get bullied for their religious beliefs? Or their appearance? What about the girls who feel manipulated into sexting their boyfriends and then get taunted when those boys show the photos all over school? How about the female students who feel unsafe sharing a restroom with male students who claim to be female? None of these children receive a video message from the Department of Justice promising to protect them.

One thing is for sure: The Sexual State will not allow parents, states and localities to make their own decisions, pass their own laws, or adapt to the wishes of their own people. The Sexual State, captured by ideologues, is here to enforce the brave new world where no one is bound by the sex of their bodies.

The Justice Department is telling the American public: No debate is permitted on gender ideology. We have framed and answered all the questions to our satisfaction.

This video is a clear message of Radical Individualism with a Capital R and a Capital I: “You are whomever you want to be.” That’s the appealing side of Individualism. “You will have no permanent connections with any other human being. The state will see to that.” That is the dark side of Individualism.

The state will come between children and their parents. The state will come between the local school board and the community it is pledged to serve. The state will come between the child and his own gendered body, if the child so wills it, even temporarily.

This video sends an unmistakable message from the Sexual State: “We intend to enforce our ideology, like it or not. We stand ready to use children as enforcers. We want children to rat out their parents and their teachers. They cannot trust the adults who are part of their lives, such as their teachers or pastors. They cannot trust the people who gave them life, their parents. We want every child to see us and us alone, as their savior and protector.”

Make no mistake. The “transgender movement” is not a grassroots movement. This “movement” is the artificial creation of the elites, who have captured the power of the state to remake the world in their own image and gender-fluid likeness. Without the full force of the federal government crushing dissent, this movement would have no legs. Period.

Welcome back to school.

Transgender Agenda on Trial

This article was posted August 5, 2021, at Church Militant.

Stepping between parents and their children is a hallmark of the transgender agenda. But one organization that offers legal services is fighting back to protect the natural order. Church Militant's William Mahoney recently spoke with one of the attorneys.

The Child and Parental Rights Campaign, or CPRC, is a nationwide group founded to "respond to a radical new ideology." One example of the CPRC's work is found in a case where one parent wants a child to transition, while the other does not.

Mary McAlister: "We represent the parent who does not. [We] try to uphold them and empower them and represent them in court so that they can have their rights asserted to not put their child through all of this horrible transition."

The transgender agenda has infiltrated everything from child protective services to schools. But the CPRC is there, empowering parents against this infiltration at every level.

McAlister: "The schools are conspiring with these gender ideologues and encouraging children to hide these things from their parents."

And while groups like Planned Parenthood endlessly lobby for deviant public policies to benefit financially, the CPRC is there fighting for legislation that benefits children and their parents.

McAlister: "And so we've worked with legislators when they've attempted to pass these laws that will ban the treatment of children. ... And we've had some bills that have been passed that we've worked on."

The pro-family group is endorsed by many board-certified medical and mental health professionals from coast to coast.

Attorney McAlister, who recently spoke in July at the Ruth Institute's 2021 Survivors' Summit, explained the new group is looking forward to its first victory in court. For more information on the CPRC, visit ChildParentRights.org.

Fighting for the Family

This article was posted on July 20, 2021, at Church Militant.

While anti-family forces ramp up their efforts, pro-family forces must ramp up theirs. To that end, experts at a pro-family conference this weekend in the Pelican State discussed the ongoing war in the sexual revolution. Church Militant's William Mahoney has a few highlights from the event.

Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse: "The purpose of the summit for survivors of the sexual revolution is to try to enlist more people in pro-family activism."

The overarching theme of the 2021 Survivors' Summit in Lake Charles, Louisiana, was established in the opening presentation titled "Understanding the Global Sexual Revolution and Confronting the Sexual State."

Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse:

The Ruth Institute has a dream that every child be welcomed into life in a loving home with their own mother and father married to each other, so that every child can have a relationship with his or her own parents unless some unavoidable tragedy takes place to prevent it.

Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, who gave the opening talk, is the founder and president of the Ruth Institute, which hosted the event.

The Ruth Institute is a global interfaith coalition equipping Christians to defend the family and build a civilization of love.

Dr. Morse: "It's the same playbook for how they push out junk science to make a point that isn't true. And we have here in the room people with expertise who are in a position to refute that stuff."

Opening talks on Friday were followed by a fourth annual awards dinner that honored Sharon Slater as activist of the year, Katy Faust for her book of the year, Them Before Us, and Baptist pastor Walter Hoye as witness of the year.

Hoye was arrested in 2009 and sentenced to 30 days in prison for standing on the sidewalk near a Planned Parenthood abortuary in California with a sign, "Jesus loves you and your baby. Let us help."

Hoye gave the keynote address: "Black and Pro-Life in America."

Pastor Walter Hoye: "Black Americans are facing irreversibility. ... We came from big families, but that's not true anymore. And it's at the point now where we're getting to the point where we're going to be facing irreversibility."

Medical experts included the president of the American College of Pediatricians, a representative of the Catholic Medical Association and executive director of the American Association of Pro-Life OB/GYNs.

There were also legal experts, therapists and personal survivors of the sexual revolution like Walt Heyer, a man who once lived as a woman.

Walt Heyer: "We are so reluctant to be bold and be truthful about the fact that no one can change their gender, there are no transgenders, nobody transitions. Gender dysphoria is only a symptom of something deeper; it's not a diganosis."

The Ruth Institute will be publishing the presentations and panel discussions in the coming weeks.

In the coming days, Evening News will offer highlights of the Ruth Institute's Survivors' Summit, as well as discussions with featured speakers.

Who’s Really Pro-Choice?

The world of therapy and counseling is under attack when it comes to gender identity and same-sex attraction. But some therapists and health care workers are crying foul and fighting back. Church Militant's William Mahoney recently spoke with one psychologist about her organization's international work.

For leftist groups like Planned Parenthood, free choice is encouraged for aborting children, but vilified for same-sex-attracted individuals who choose counseling to work through their feelings.

Dr. Laura Haynes: "[I'm] defending the right — the legal right — to therapy for people who want to explore options to their unwanted same-sex attraction or unwanted incongruent gender identity."

A speaker on Saturday at the Ruth Institute's 2021 Survivors' Summit, Dr. Haynes has 40 years' experience of clinical practice and is now a full-time political activist.

And while the International Planned Parenthood Federation pushes its contradictory narrative regarding choice, Haynes' group, The International Federation for Therapeutic and Counseling Choice, or IFTCC, is the "home for the once-gay, those coming-out and the de-transitioners, because we're free to choose."

Dr. Haynes: "We train activists to defend the legal right to therapy. So these would be therapists, pastors, journalists, attorneys, former LGBT-identified people."

The IFTCC maintains legislation based on unscientific notions is not only wrong, it's harmful.

Dr. Haynes: "There are underlying causes that need attention that are being denied today. I think this is medical malpractice."

In the name of choice, Planned Parenthood, et al., are eager to deal with unwanted pregnancies by killing the child.

But when an individual wants an alternative to handling unwanted feelings that contradict the abortion chain's narrative, choice is out the window.

No Child Born in Wrong Body

The money-making gender industry is destroying lives and families. But one woman who struggled with gender identity as a child is helping people understand the underlying reasons for gender dysphoria. Church Militant's William Mahoney recently spoke with her about her work.

No child is born in the wrong body: That's the principal message of a new book for children by an author who speaks from experience.

Erin Brewer: "My name is Erin Brewer, and I actually wrote a book about my experience being a transgender child. And I did that because I felt it was really important to share with people that children who have these difficult feelings don't have to 'transition.'"

Erin lamented there are children's books like I Am Jazz that push a false narrative about children dealing with gender confusion. I Am Jazz was written by a child going by "Jazz Jennings" and co-authored by LGBT propagandist Jessica Herthel. I Am Jazz is listed as a book for children from 4 to 8 years old.

A blurb in the listing exposes the driving pro-LGBT message of the book: "From the time she was two years old, Jazz knew that she had a girl's brain in a boy's body."

Erin Brewer:

I wanted to make sure that kids know that's not true. So I got help from therapists and teachers to help me resolve those difficult feelings. And initially, when somebody suggested that I write a kids' book, I thought, "It's going to be really difficult." The reason I developed that dysphoria in the first place was the result of a sexual assault, and that's not something that you want to typically write about in a kids' book. But then I thought about I Am Jazz, which tells children they were born in the wrong body, and I thought, "That's really scary. I'm not sure if there's anything more scary [sic] than that."

After prayer and reflection, Erin decided her book countering the transgender industry's narrative needed to be written. And while pro-LGBT Herthel goes around indoctrinating children, parents, teachers and politicians how to use I Am Jazz as a "teaching tool," Erin is fighting hellfire with the fire of truth in love.

Erin Brewer:

After writing the book, I wanted to find a way to get the message out more. And the organization that I cofounded called Partners for Ethical Care raised $1,000 in two days for me. We were able to buy a bunch of books — and I've been driving around the country donating them to libraries, health care providers, churches and therapy offices.

The organization Erin cofounded can be found online at PartnersForEthicalCare.com.That organization, PEC for short, exists to stop the medical transitioning of children and spread the truth that transitioning is not an identity, but an intervention that harms children.

Erin Brewer: "We collect stories. We have information for parents. We reach out to legislators and to doctors and to teachers to try to help them understand how dangerous it is to do this to children."

Church Militant spoke with Erin during the weekend in Lake Charles, Louisiana, when she was spreading PEC's hope-filled message as a guest speaker at the Ruth Institute's 2021 Survivors' Summit.

Erin's book, Always Erin, can be found on the Partners for Ethical Care website, as well as on Amazon.

Ruth Institute’s ‘Survivor’s Summit’ to Explore Rotten Fruit of Sexual Revolution

Summit attendees will examine the global sexual revolution and the future of freedom and family.

by Kathy Schiffer

This article was first posted July 15, 2021 at National Catholic Register.

Our society is under attack from within. Those in the helping professions — doctors, educators, counselors — all have faced a challenge from the Cancel Culture. The culture wrought by the sexual revolution demands that we abandon our Christian principles, replace the traditional family and embrace a whole new culture of sexual “freedom” which promotes same-sex “marriage,” transgenderism, premarital and extramarital sex and abortion as societal goods.

The Ruth Institute will challenge the prevailing narrative with its fourth annual Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution July 16-17. This year’s event will bring together experts to discuss the global sexual revolution, citing the casualties and the medical costs. The participants will lay out solutions to reclaim the professions and strengthen the traditional family.

The Register spoke with Jennifer Roback Morse, founder of the Ruth Institute, about the theme for this year's summit, with its focus on those in the fields of medicine, education and therapy.

“What the professions all have in common,” Morse explained, “is that they are under tremendous pressure from the left to conform to a false narrative. And the central problem is common to all of the professions, not just the ones we're talking about. In social work, for example, the same pattern is evident: [Sexual revolution ideologues] weasel their way into the profession, manufacturing fake evidence and reshaping the narrative.”

One example of such blatant distortion, Morse reported, was a resolution passed by the American Medical Association members at their annual meeting in June. The AMA advocated for the removal of sex from birth certificates. “Designating sex on birth certificates as male or female,” claimed AMA Board Chair-Elect Sandra Adamson Fryhofer, M.D., “perpetuates the view that sex designation is permanent and fails to recognize the medical spectrum of gender identity. This type of categorization system also risks stifling an individual's self-expression and self-identification and contributes to marginalization and minoritization.”

Morse reported that last year, at the Ruth Institute's 2020 Summit, they learned that Planned Parenthood had been distributing cross-sex hormones to teenagers. Until that time, pro-life sidewalk counselors had been trained to help an abortion-minded woman to choose life, but they were not prepared to counsel teens who arrived at the clinic planning to initiate a sex change.

Morse worked with Dr. Michelle Cretella, the executive director of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds), developing a way to encourage teens with gender dysphoria to seek help, instead of seeking life-altering surgery. Together they came up with a pamphlet for sidewalk counselors to use. That pamphlet, titled “Your Pain Is Real,” will be introduced Friday and Saturday.

Attendees of the summit will explore four related themes: the global sexual revolution; counting the casualties; medical costs; and the demographic winter and the future of freedom and family.

Speakers Expose the Fallacies Behind the Transgender Movement

The topic of transgenderism is one which several of the summit’s speakers have faced personally.

Walt Heyer experienced gender confusion as the result of an abusive childhood. He took hormones and underwent surgery to adopt the appearance of a female, then lived for eight years appearing to be a woman until stopping in 1991. Heyer, whose story is told in Ryan Anderson's 2018 book When Harry Became Sally, talked with the Register about his presentation at the Survivors' Summit.

“The issues are significant,” Heyer said, “in that the idea of changing genders is false. No one today has the medical expertise to biologically change what is innate and fixed from conception; that is, when the sperm hits the egg, gender/sex is immutable and as such, cannot be changed by using hormones or performing radical surgical procedures. The infallible truth is that a person can only change persona (public presentation), not gender or sex (biologically innate and fixed). My role [in the summit] is to bring a perspective of truth that is so often neglected, earned through my experience of living as a woman for eight years.”

As a young child, Erin Brewer experienced intense self-hatred and loathing for her female body. She cut her hair short, wore her brother's hand-me-downs and was verbally and physically aggressive toward her classmates. A caring school counselor led her parents and teachers to help resolve her gender confusion by reinforcing her female identity, exposing her to strong and talented women and putting her in girls' groups such as Brownies.

CNN Struggles with PC Trans Terminology

This article was originally published on SalvoMag.

- Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse

CNN parrots the most absurd positions of the transgender movement. We should start calling it the PCNN, Politically Correct News Network. And they can’t even keep their own PC terminology straight.

In a March 30 broadcast on South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem’s executive order on transgender males in women’s sports, the politically correct network editorialized:

“The order also references ‘biological sex,’ a disputed term that refers to the sex as listed on students’ original birth certificates.” In the same broadcast, the network claimed, “It’s not possible to know a person’s identity at birth, and there is no consensus criteria for assigning sex at birth.”

Following substantial backlash, CNN updated the story to “provide additional explanation as to the distinctions between gender and sex.” Their story now states, “It's not possible to know a person's gender identity at birth, and for some people, the sex listed on their original birth certificate is a misleading way of describing the body they have.”

The Gender Theorists have inflicted this new terminology on all of us. The least they can do is to apply it consistently. After all, the term “sex” refers to the body. The Sexual Revolutionaries invented the distinction between “sex” and “gender” to undermine the stability of male roles and female roles. “Gender” is the term they use to describe the complex of social roles, personal preferences, feelings and identity. The Revolutionaries maintain that sex roles are socially constructed and can be reconstructed. This distinction allowed them to pursue their agenda of eliminating everything based on male-female differences, without having to maintain that the body is completely irrelevant. They’re saying: “All we want to do is provide more flexibility in gender roles. We accept that male and female bodies are different.”

But now the mask is slipping. They can’t keep their story straight. There absolutely is a criterion for “assigning sex at birth”: DNA, which is almost always immediately obvious from secondary sex characteristics. Of course, we can’t know a person’s “identity” at birth, if that term includes everything they are ever going to think or feel. But that complex of feelings is not relevant to which sports teams a person should play on. The body is the only relevant consideration for that purpose.

CNN’s attempt at clarification did not help. CNN’s statement that “the sex listed on their original birth certificate is a misleading way of describing the body they have,” is absurd. The sex of the body has not changed. The individual has changed their “gender identity,” not the sex of their bodies.

It’s just more of CNN being CNN. In a story last August on screenings for cervical cancer, instead of “women,” it used the expression “individuals with a cervix.” Increasingly, doctrinaire outlets like CNN, try to avoid saying “men” and “women” which are thought to exclude so-called transsexuals.

CNN’s newscasts should come with a warning label: “No News Ahead. Propaganda Only. Some viewers may find the following broadcast upsetting.”

Bias like this is one reason we at the Ruth Institute recently launched our Transgender Resource Center with research, media and other resources to fight the transgender ideology which permeates our society.

CA demands insurance companies cover breast removals for trans teen girls

The Department of Insurance, led by openly homosexual Ricardo Lara, reclassified normal breasts as ‘abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects.’

This article, which quotes Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, was written by Doug Mainwaring and posted January 6, 2021, at Life News.

SACRAMENTO, California, January 6, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — California’s Department of Insurance has signaled it will now require health insurance companies operating in the state to cover double mastectomies for gender dysphoric teenage girls. The government agency asserted the removal of their breasts is no longer considered “cosmetic” surgery but is instead required “reconstructive” surgery of “abnormal structures of the body caused by congenital defects.”

In other words, the healthy breasts of confused teenage girls are deemed “abnormal structures” and “congenital defects” if that girl decides she is a boy. The state of California now equates breasts on gender dysphoric young girls with other medical conditions such as cancer or trauma.

The move by the commissioner’s office was triggered by an inquiry from San Diego’s TransFamily Support Services regarding past denials of coverage for “male chest surgery for patients under 18 years old who are transitioning from female to male.”

“For far too long, individuals diagnosed with gender dysphoria have had to battle a host of challenges to get access to gender-affirming care in order to be their true selves,” said Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara in a statement, responding to the transgender activist organization.

Lara blamed “[s]ocial stigma, misconceptions about gender dysphoria and its treatment, and outdated medical criteria,” which he insisted without exception are “barriers to necessary medical care that can lead to tragic results for individuals with gender dysphoria, especially for our transgender youth.”

Lara himself is openly homosexual.

At Lara’s urging, the Insurance Department’s General Counsel issued an Opinion Letter stating that “denying coverage for mastectomy and reconstruction of a male chest based solely on age is impermissible under state laws requiring coverage of reconstructive surgery.”

Brandon Showalter, a journalist who in recent years has emerged as an expert on the tragic medical mutilation of healthy young bodies enabled by the cult of transgenderism, called the procedure “breast amputation surgery.”

The change in language is an “unethical, predatory, and despicable attempt to even more viciously abuse children via gender ideology,” Maria Keffler, co-founder of the recently-formed Partners for Ethical Care, told Showalter on Monday.

“By circumventing parental consent in order to medicalize children without any minimum age restriction, the California Department of Insurance, whose very letterhead claims to ‘Protect, Prevent, and Preserve’, does exactly the opposite,” said Keffler.

“The active promotion of transgenderism has resulted in massive uncontrolled and unconsented experimentation upon children and adolescents,” Dr. Michelle Cretella, MD, FCP, president of the American College of Pediatricians told LifeSiteNews previously. “This is child abuse.”

“Transgenderism is a psychological disorder, not a biological one,” said Cretella.

“The commissioner is requiring insurance companies to pay surgeons to remove the healthy breasts of emotionally distraught girls and women and implying it is ‘necessary treatment’ — yet we already have multiple studies demonstrating that mutilation does not treat gender dysphoria,” Cretella told PJ Media’s Tyler O’Neil.

...

“This is the Sexual State at work,” declared Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, author and founder of the Ruth Institute.

“The insurance companies, no doubt, would prefer not to pay for expensive, unnecessary surgery. And now the Insurance Commission, which is a relatively obscure agency of the state, is acting at the behest of activists, putting pressure on insurance companies.”

Roback Morse told LifeSiteNews that she wondered if the California Insurance Commission will apply the same amount of pressure to health insurance providers to cover surgery costs when these same patients choose to revert to their biological sex in the future.

NBC Again Smears Ruth Inst. as a “Hate Group”

“NBC’s second broadside against the Ruth Institute is both predictable and pathetic,” said Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., the Institute’s founder and president.

Following its December 9 story, on December 12, NBC did another “exposé” of supposed hate groups that received funding under the Paycheck Protection Program, using information provided by the thoroughly partisan Southern Poverty Law Center.

“SPLC has become the attack dog of the Sexual Revolution,” said Morse. “Its victims include the American Family Association, Family Research Council, the American College of Pediatricians, and Liberty Counsel, as well as the Ruth Institute.

“SPLC’s formula is the essence of simplicity. If you oppose same-sex marriage, you’re a hate group. If you affirm that there’s no science behind what’s called transgenderism, you’re hateful.”

Morse added, “Like so many Sexual Revolutionary groups, NBC and SPLC have given in to the totalitarian impulse. Their tactics are meant to foreclose debate. If they pin the ‘hateful’ label on an organization, no one has to consider its arguments. Because neither entity can answer our arguments, they try to label us hateful and ignore us. It’s a sign of intellectual impotence.

“The Ruth Institute has fought many of the worst effects of the Sexual Revolution. More than any other organization, we have exposed clerical sex abuse. We also provide support for the victims of divorce, pornography, and other forms of sexual exploitation.

“Far from helping victims, NBC has been credibly accused by its former reporter, Ronan Farrow, of shutting down an investigation of charges of sex abuse against former studio head Harvey Weinstein.

“So, while the Ruth Institute was working to support victims of sex abuse, according to Farrow, NBC was protecting a sex offender.”

Morse noted ironically, “We’ve got to be one of the few ‘hate groups’ whose leadership and staff include Catholics, a Jew and an Orthodox priest, as well as Evangelicals, Pentecostals and Mormons. We have also collaborated with African pro-life groups, trying to help them protect their right to have as many children as they want. Odd behavior for a group that is allegedly the Second Coming of the Ku Klux Klan.”

Late last week, in association with Life Petitions, the Ruth Institute launched a petition demanding NBC issue a retraction of its December 9 story, stop using the Southern Poverty Law Center as a source, and “cease harassing and defaming organizations that are working to defend the family, the bedrock of American civilization.” The petition gathered more than 6,600 signatures in just a few days despite the busy holiday season.
